Edgerucci Clean Pickup Position: Middle Pickup Type: Humbucker Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Dream Theater Author: VaiSatchAtrucci Comments: Ok so I was messing around with some clean sounds and finally got one I think that's going to be a great "all purpose" clean sound for my JP6. I do a little one guitar track medley of songs here all using the same preset and the only difference being that the delay is not enabled anywhere but on the U2 portion which you'll obviously hear. The thing I am finding with Dream Theater clean stuff is that it's not a clean sound you can achieve with the Mesa amp sims - or at least I have not been able to figure it out with my guitar anyway. Anyhoo check it out and below is the sample mp3 and just FYI this was done with my JP6 (Dargie II) and with the MIDDLE position pickup throughout as it's really the only way to nail the Dream Theater clean tones but it works great and sounds strat-like enough to work for the U2 stuff. VHI-ish Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Van Halen I Author: Jimification Comments: This is something like a punchy VHI boosted plexi sound. It's not exact at all but sounds reasonably close on my Les Paul with Burstbucker pros. Hit FX2 for the Phaser and Mod for flanger. If you find the phaser too pronounced, just move it in front of the distortion. It's set pretty loud for optimum rec level so look out if your other patches are quiet!
