Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Dream Theater Comments: Ok so I was messing around with some clean sounds and finally got one I think that's going to be a great "all purpose" clean sound for my JP6. I do a little one guitar track medley of songs here all using the same preset and the only difference being that the delay is not enabled anywhere but on the U2 portion which you'll obviously hear. The thing I am finding with Dream Theater clean stuff is that it's not a clean sound you can achieve with the Mesa amp sims - or at least I have not been able to figure it out with my guitar anyway. Anyhoo check it out and below is the sample mp3 and just FYI this was done with my JP6 (Dargie II) and with the MIDDLE position pickup throughout as it's really the only way to nail the Dream Theater clean tones but it works great and sounds strat-like enough to work for the U2 stuff. For the Kings X at the end I blended in the piezo with the middle position pickup for more of an acoustic vibe... http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9871729 As always - tweak and have fun with it! |
